Best Pix of 2009 Gallery Spotlight
January 15, 2010 by Ticketman
As loyal LD visitors know, we’ve really spiffed things up since this time last year – and part of the new look and feel has been the broadening of our live music photo content.
Within a two year time span the live music photography team has expanded from two people–myself and Tim Mosenfelder–covering mostly Nor Cal to a team of ten shooters (and counting) all over the country. Together we’ve managed to bring you a staggering quantity of images from some of the best artists of our time. Highlights include the first US concert of Leonard Cohen in 25 years, reunion tours from the likes of Devo, No Doubt, Butthole Surfers, Blink 182, and Stone Temple Pilots. We’ve also made an effort to cover good causes like the “Tibet House Benefit,” “The Music of R.E.M.” show, Perry Farrell’s “Road Recovery,” Neil Young’s Annual Bridge School Benefit and “Justin Timberlake and Friends.” And of course there’s the all-important festivals—Bonnaroo, Bamboozle, SxSW, Coachella, Lollapalooza, All Points West, Sasquatch! Outside Lands, Treasure Island, Noise Pop, Austin City Limits and the Voodoo Music Experience to name a few.
Please enjoy the following slideshow featuring 100 of the best photos of the year – your gift from the LD photo team – Happy New Year!
